Why Hammers?

May 28, 2025

To be a Hammer isn’t just about showing up. It’s about showing up ready. Ready to work, to push your limits, and to stay locked in every single practice. As one player put it, “Be ready to work. Every single practice it’s putting in work. Work. Work. Work.”

But being a Hammer goes beyond physical effort. It’s about community, respect, and mindset. “You gotta work your hardest. You have to be respectful to your coaches and you need good body language.” From building relationships to trusting your teammates and coaches, the Hammer culture is built on effort, attitude, and connection. Or as one young player said best, “Have great work ethic and be really immersed. You need to talk to people and people talk to you.”

Big thanks to our players, Ryder, PJ, and George for sharing what it means to be a Hammer.
